2003 Sundance Online Film Festival Announces Audience Awards
(Park City, UT, January 2003) - The Sundance Film Festival announced the recipients of the 2003 Sundance Online Film Festival Audience Awards on Thursday, January 23 at an evening party held at the National Ability Center, sponsored by Volkswagen of America, Inc.

The 2003 Sundance Online Film Festival Audience Awards recipients are:

Animation

BROKEN SAINTS, directed by Brooke Burgess, follows the adventures of four very different people bound by an unknown force as they battle to overcome an apocalyptic evil. Two chapters of this 10-hour epic online novel were screened at the Sundance Online Film Festival.

Short Subject

ONE, directed by Stewart Hendler, follows the last minutes of two characters as their life together flashes before the male protagonist&';s eyes.

This year&';s Online Festival featured 31 projects in 4 categories: Animation, Short Subject, Gallery, and New Forms. The Animation and Short Subject categories were both in competition for the Online Audience Award. In order for a single rating to be tallied in the final number, the film had to play completely through, and it could not be a repeat vote from a previous viewer. All Sundance Online Film Festival films will remain on the Festival site, www.sundance.org, until February 5th.
