02.05.02 2003 Sundance Film Festival Relocates Park City Headquarters |
(Salt Lake City, UT, May 2002) - The 2003 Sundance Film Festival has announced that it is moving its official Park City Headquarters to the recently renovated Park City Marriott. The Park City Marriott is located at 1895 Sidewinder Drive, in the Prospector Square area of Park City and housed a screening room for the 2002 Festival. The hotel is within walking distance of four Festival venues: the Eccles Theatre, Prospector Square, Yarrow Hotel, and the recently completed Holiday Village Cinemas. The 2003 Sundance Film Festival takes place January 16-26.
Previously located in the Shadow Ridge Hotel, Festival Headquarters houses the Festival&';s Filmmaker and Guest Services, Press Office, Sales Office, Sponsor Services, and Volunteer Department, as well as logistical and administrative offices. The Park City Marriott features amenities and services such as an onsite business center, concierge, restaurant and lounge, indoor pool, and fitness center. Formerly known as the Olympia Park Hotel, the Park City Marriott recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation.
"We&';re excited to have the opportunity to move our Headquarters into a larger venue that can accommodate the Film Festival&';s growth," explained Geoffrey Gilmore, Director of the Sundance Film Festival. "The new location&';s proximity to existing Festival venues creates another Festival center, similar to Park City&';s Main Street, during the Festival. The more convenient location, coupled with the additional services available in the hotel, will lead to a more enjoyable experience for Festival participants."
